APM Project Management qualified and accomplished professional with a successful career transition from Policing to the Defense industry, as a Business and Project Manager at MBDA. With a strong background in law enforcement and a passion for project management, I bring a unique combination of skills and leadership qualities to the industry, in addition to formal APM PMQ qualification, and work to contribute to the success of MBDA.Over my 18-year career as a Police Officer, I represented both local and specialist Policing organisations, rising to the rank of Inspector just prior to joining MBDA. As a dependable, tenacious, and enthusiastic leader, I have experience in managing teams in investigating serious crimes, handling high-risk classified intelligence cases in addition to the personnel element and wellbeing of supervising people.My enthusiasm for project management grew as I enjoyed the success and challenge of working on numerous projects. My ability to understand requirements and execute strategic plans has led to projects being delivered on time and within budget, and I am now fully embedded with MBDA as Business and Project Manager within the Operations function.Outside of the work environment, I have a strong dedication to fundraising and community engagement. Organising and delivering annual charity events, I use my genuine passion for this work to manage events, secure donations, control budgets, and coordinate volunteer support, raising substantial funds for causes close to my heart.Among my achievements, I am proud of developing and leading the Bedfordshire Police Unity Tour cycling charity event, which raised over £50,000 for the UK Care of Police Survivors charity. I have also designed and delivered national and international cycling challenges, raising over £35,000 for Leukaemia Research. Most recently, I organised a large charity variety evening in support of the Motor Neurone Disease Association for a retiring colleague.
