Researched under PI : Dr. Weigang Qiu. Lab exploration: Use of unsupervised ML applications to evince buttressing features within Gene Networks. Gene networks act as highly unstable networks, in order to mitigate this, random matrix theory was brought in. After applying random matrix strategies to PCA and SVD evaluations, we were able to beget important variables in the gene interaction process. Research under PI: Anita Raja.Lab exploration: Employing strategies to mitigate traffic within large scale traffic networks. The dynamic traffic assignment problem has long been a major question. The question involves how to reroute vehicles in a non-myopic fashion such that an optimal strategy is found. My research explored stochastic processes and clustering to begin to solve the TAP.
