Being a family-run business, I have been helping out at Hickory Hill Academy since our school opened in 1996. After graduating from UW-Madison in 2006, I joined HHA as a full-time employee and, for the next two years, enjoyed being HHA's physical education teacher and working in the after school program. I have since worked on the business side of HHA, handling family accounts, marketing our school and managing our finances.While interested in the business side of HHA, I share with my entire family a great love for children. I try to frequent the classrooms and playgrounds, knowing that interacting with the children will be a highlight of the day.My father and HHA co-founder, Will, reminds me that running this business is a "labor of love," and in this sentiment, I could not agree more. I enjoy working with my family to make HHA a successful business while keeping in mind my family's greater purpose - to create a place for children to expand their minds, enjoy themselves to the fullest and feel completely safe. It is the fulfillment of this latter goal which makes my job most rewarding.In 2009, I married my wonderful wife, Jenny. The ceremony was at Blackhawk Church, and the reception was at Nakoma Country Club – both fitting venues as they relate to some of my greatest interests: my faith, and golf! My wife and I live in Middleton, WI, and have three beautiful children.
