Frontline fundraiser responsible for the qualification of prospects and the cultivation and solicitation of gifts to the University. Strategically engages others in this process including the University President, Deans, faculty, trustees, outside volunteers, and colleagues within the Office of Advancement.+ Qualification of major gift prospects with a focus on the Chicagoland region. + Cultivate and solicit prospects for major gifts. Recommend and implement cultivation strategies; build commitment to the university through appropriate engagement activities. + Facilitate the relationship between key University representatives and prospects. + Build institutional knowledge and keep abreast of institutional and college priorities. + Work with faculty to secure and document gifts. Respond to calls and email outreach efforts from prospective donors interested in making a gift. + Draft and submit foundation proposals and other grants. Develop relationships within foundations that receive solicitations. + Manage portfolio of 100 prospects in conformity with office protocol. Actively participate in prospect review sessions to develop best strategies. + Document donor prospect contact in Raiser’s Edge and ensure that portfolio and solicitation data in the Raiser’s Edge database is current and accurate.

Founding partner and strategic leader of American Bocce Company (ABC), a business that started as a community bocce ball park on a vacant city lot in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago in 2013 that has now hosted hundreds of leagues in Chicago and dozens of other markets from Tampa to Detroit to Boise. Responsible for the company’s main revenue stream generated by 30+ leagues and 12+ tournaments in Chicago per year for approximately 1200 players. ABC has also served as the lead bocce officials for Special Olympics Illinois in regional and state games since 2014 as well as the World Games in Los Angeles in 2015.

Created a community-orientated project to build a public neighborhood park while launching a multi-tiered business venture. Start-up responsibilities include organizing divisions focused on events and leagues; communities and parks; and sales and rentals. Growth has led to multi-tasking and decision making such as managing two simultaneous leagues as well as over a dozen events with an outreach of 3000+ people. Events have ranged from Fountain Art Fair in New York City to a 16-team tournament co-sponsored with Dogfish Head Brewery and Whole Foods.
