Mechanical Design Engineer for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing building systems.• Communicate with architects or customers involving new or existing building construction plans. Also assist in permitting of tenant takeover projects. Create mechanical, plumbing, and electrical drawings to aide in the design and permitting processes. • Mechanical - Conduct various analyses of current and future buildings. Including fresh air analysis, heating and cooling load envelope calculations, and the sizing of mechanical systems for various industries. Specifying the correct mechanical equipment for the job is a major part of the job.• Electrical - Produce short circuit analysis and conduct code analysis on projects depending on location. Design panel schedules for building loads to ensure electrical service is adequate for existing, new, and future equipment. Construct new one-line electrical diagrams for existing and future buildings to aid in the developmental process. • Plumbing - Analyze gas loads and fixture analysis to ensure building has adequate fuel gas supply. Water fixture analysis to ensure adequate water pressure and pipe size, all while complying to the latest International Codes.
