CurrentPhysical Environment of Care• Patrol hospital buildings and premises to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, and intruders.• Monitor conduct of visitors on hospital premises.• Confront unauthorized persons for questioning as needed.• Perform investigations for incidents criminal and non-criminal which occur on property.• Report safety and/or fire hazards or security violations.Departmental Support• Trend analysis and mitigation of identified security risks. This will also include participation in risk assessments as appropriate.• Maintains daily security logs and reports.Technical Support• Monitoring, managing, testing and training of UnityPoint Health-Marshalltown security systems, which include, but are not limited to camera systems, access control systems, duress buttons, infant abduction systems, and patient wandering systems.• Assist in safety and security educational programs for the hospital.
