Matthew Dolan is President, North America Specialty, and Executive Vice President, Global Risk Solutions, with Liberty Mutual Insurance. North America Specialty, a $2.8 billion business operation, comprises Ironshore’s Environmental, Healthcare, Professional, Property and E&S Casualty specialty lines, as well as Liberty Mutual’s Bermuda, Programs and Mortgage units.Matt brings more than 30 years of experience in the specialty insurance arena and as President of North America Specialty is responsible for the development, distribution and marketing of specialty and E&S commercial insurance products and services for these operations. Previously, Matt was part of the Ironshore senior leadership team and was highly involved in growing the insurer into an international E&S operation before it was bought by Liberty Mutual in 2017. During his tenure at Ironshore, Matt was President, IronHealth, the professional healthcare liability unit, as well as Executive Vice President, Ironshore Inc. He launched IronHealth in 2008 and, serving as President, led the development and distribution of specialized products and services for the healthcare industry. Matt was also a Founder and President of OneBeacon Professional Partners. An industry leader with experience in both start-up and established insurance operations, Matt’s leadership style marries technical expertise, vision, and a people-first approach to solve problems and manage risk for customers and partners. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Catholic University and has earned the CPCU designation.
