The long and short of it is that I love graphic design. I love it so much that I got two degrees in it and even teach some college classes about it on the side too. I’ve been doing design for roughly the past twelve years at this point. I enjoy all aspects of the profession and the different challenges that each type of design brings. I’ve gotten into UI and web design a lot over the past few years and have found it to be a fascinating area that keeps evolving. I still have a deep affection for traditional print work and the creative thinking that goes into making a solid advertising campaign. Even production work has a place in my heart. When I’m not designing, I’m helping to raise my two daughters and trying not to be driven mad by the looping sounds of Baby Shark being played in the background. Whatever time I have left, I put towards writing and creating comic books. And if a cold beer or a glass of bourbon finds its way into my hand at the end of the day on occasion, then life isn’t too bad.
