Local Chairman for the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference representing all train operators who are employed by TransEd, on the Valley Line Southeast LRT in Edmonton, AB. Ensure the collective agreement is adhered to by the company, as well as protect the rights of our membership and ensure fair representation during company initiated investigations. Act as a face of the union on a local level with management, attempting to solve issues locally before exhausting the grievance and arbitration process. Respond and investigate all collective agreement complaints, ensure grievances are written within specified timelines, and handle all membership concerns regarding the collective agreement. Represents the division at the general committee of adjustment.

Southeast Valley Line LRT Service Commencement.Operate train in Revenue and Non-Revenue service. Adhere to all rules, policies and bulletins.

Perform OJT (on the job training) of new employees. Instruct and observe train operation, evaluate their knowledge of the LRT systems, train, and route. Provide feedback. Mentor trainees until qualification, and ability to work on their own.

Mentor trainees and perform OJT (on the job training) of safe train handling, operational procedures, and communication. Prepare trainees for their qualification.

Valley Line Southeast LRT project testing and commissioning of train, track, and signalling system. Work with various technicians and other parties while operating train to ensure longevity of assets and functionality of the alignment.

Rig, De-rig, move swing stages on all types of structures and buildings. Keep organization of inventory and use hands on knowledge, safe procedures to serve customers in safest/most efficient way. Assemble swing stage and BMU On some of the tallest towers in Western Canada, and work at heights. Assist in packing orders for customers across Canada for transport by truck, operate forklift and inspect equipment and safety devices. Work with one of the most qualified swing stage crews in Canada.
