Programme Director for BSc Criminology and Sociology

Ethnographic research with young people.

-Working as part of a team to ensure the safety of young people by following the procedures laid down in the project manual. -Providing practical support to young people.-Supplying clear, accurate information to young people.-The recording of accurate information in line with operational procedures.-The role involves assisting young people who are in temporary accommodation to continue their education and career opportunities.

I am currently on placement at Swansea University in the Social Policy department. I am doing this as a part of a 1 year PGCE (PCET) teaching programme.

Teaching Socal Policy to Access to Higher Education students.

-Working alongside youth offenders and guiding them to help move furniture in a popular charity shop.-Taking incoming business queries by telephone.-Dealing with customers.

Taking inbound payments and making outbound calls in effort to clear customers outstanding debt. Customers consisted of limited and non-limited companies. My role also involved becoming a part of a team of four special debt collecters in order to collect a old batch of accounts.

This job was located in Sweden, working on a tunnel-boring machine (TBM). My responsibilities on the machine are to drive a train in and out of the tunnel, deciding what materials were needed to come in and what waste needed to go out. I managed two levels of the TBM as team leader of 6 workers. Unfortunately my employment here had to come to an end due to an industrial accident.

Working alongside another worker with the responsibilities of making sure that the Tunnel Boring Machine could function effectively.

At GMAC my job roll was to make inbound and outbound calls. The inbound was mainly dealing with payment queries or transferring the customer to the relevant department. The outbound calls involved calling the customers and encourage them to make their card payments on time, to help them in the best way possible to keep their account in order and to steer them to pay on time in the future.
