In my ten+ years at Alliance Laundry Systems I have been promoted 6 times. Starting as a Buyer Planner, to Lead Buyer Planner, to managing the Buyer Planners and carrying a full desk, to Purchasing Manager, to Master Scheduler, to Planning Manager. I was also heavily involved in the transition of our plant in Marianna Florida to Ripon Wisconsin. I was relocated for nearly 6 months to Florida. While I was there, I took the roles of three buyer planners and did all the purchasing of all commodities for the entire plant. I also purchased what we needed for the Ripon facility before the transition took place to make it a seamless relocation. I maintained my full desk of vendors in Ripon. I also helped to manage a crew in Marianna who's sole purpose was to create and ship manufactured parts from Marianna to Ripon to keep the line running in Ripon before the fabrication equipment arrived in Ripon. Finally, I was part of the team and packed and shipped everything that was left in the facilities before the doors were closed.I was also part of a team that helped to select and implement a new ERP solution for the Ripon campus, SAP. Before the selection, I was included on several trips and meetings to select which system was best for our business. Once the project started, I was a Super User on the team. The job of a super user is to take responsibility for their area of expertise. This entails working with the consultant to completely design, set up, test, implement, train the future users, and write End User Procedures for the company. After the project the super user is the main person of contact for any questions about that area. I started as the super user for the material. I gained the areas of receiving, MRO (maintenance), transfer of good to our service department, order transfer to our internal print shop, physical inventory, as well as bringing a procurement person up to speed when we lost one of the original team members.
