I co-founded LNX Solutions back in 2017. We provide self-hosted infrastructure and innovative solutions to resolve IT and telecommunication problems creatively and effectively using cutting edge technology.My friends and colleagues rely on me as the guy to call when there is an emergency or if there is a problem that needs fixing. In my capacity as a logistics coordinator for Wilderness Search and Rescue, I have consistently proven myself to be a coolheaded and resourceful decision maker in high pressure situations. I have brought these leadership qualities into the workplace. I lead a talented team of dev op and network engineers who go the extra mile to ensure our clients are fully satisfied with the tailormade solutions we come up with. Communication has always been my thing. I make communication happen. Communication is the key to building relationships, and my business is all about building relationships with clients and colleagues. I ensure that teams can communicate even the remotest areas where cell reception is unreliable. For this, we use the latest technologies including LoRaWan and digital RF solutions. We provide infrastructure for telecommunications at events and hire out radios, trackers, and weather stations that operate on our network. In the past, my team has handled comms for major events such as Rocking the Daisies, Two Oceans Marathon, and Cape Epic. This year I was appointed head of communications for Cape Town Cycle Tour 2023. Our hosting services all started when one of our clients was being ripped off by a hosting company that was charging her a fortune. Today we host thousands of clients on our servers in local data centres. We are able to offer clients up to 10 gbps capacity, which is 100x the capacity our competitors provide. Our private cloud offerings include Kubernetes, Ceph, GPU accelerated machines, as well as virtual and dedicated machines. We also do network management for colleges and big corporations such as Cape Audio College and Puma.I have always been an inquisitive and practical person. As a kid, I was forever dismantling electronics and computers, then putting them back together, just to see how they worked. I’ve always had a “boer maak ‘n plan” attitude. For example, during the water crisis and more recently with Loadshedding, I have developed innovative water and power solutions for homes and businesses. I am always up for a challenge.
