Assisted attorneys by conducting legal research and drafting various motions and memoranda. This included a motion for partial summary judgment in bankruptcy proceedings and a motion to set aside a default judgment.

Wrote Bench Memos for Judge Claudia Laycock to assist her in cases of criminal law, property law, family law, etc.

Responsibilities focused mostly on family law. Completed a substantive research project evaluating alimony awards in the Western United States and considered possible ways to improve Utah's alimony statute. Also completed legal documents to assist the attorneys at the firm. Joined the attorneys for various client consultations and court proceedings.

I served as seminar coordinator for the Intermountain Accounting Seminar which was held on October 30, 2008 at Utah State University. With the help of my co-workers, Accounting Faculty, and 10 outstanding speakers, we created a memorable experience for USU students and 222 business professionals.
