In my present role as Director of Contracting, I negotiate all aspects of pre- and post-award actions as well as oversee all contracting aspects of in-progress work and change orders. I execute all strategic negotiations with our customers and enterprise-wide improvements within the contracting department. Our team collaborates to refine processes within our full-service shipyard, where we provide dry docking and pier side vessel repairs, fabrications, maintenance, conversions, and alterations.Previously, I enjoyed my career in the Coast Guard and over the years I’ve developed passions and strong skills for servant leadership, balancing competing demands, rigorous prioritization, understanding complex problems, ownership, adaptability, judgement and initiative.I can successfully lead important organizational process and quality improvement projects.-I created a local office to provide direct oversight for all contract execution functions and developed processes to ensure that all business operations were planned, prepared, and executed in a cost-effective manner and delivered on time in accordance with stakeholder specifications and quality requirements for the $12.1B DHS Level 1 Offshore Patrol Cutter shipbuilding acquisition-I established a Logistics Division that developed and implemented business priorities to achieve organizational objectives for training, supply and maintenance operations. My division identified and capitalized on opportunities to reduce life cycle costs by improving the organization’s buying patterns and supply channels for the $8B DHS Level 1 National Security Cutter shipbuilding acquisition-I built an Engineering Division, developed policies and strategies, and trained key staff leaders in the prioritization and execution of all organizational operations to include scheduling, assigning, staffing and the final evaluation of all engineering projects within the organization for the newest National Security Cutter, a 418 foot / 4500 long ton displacement shipI have a positive personality and enjoy making new professional acquaintances.
