The saying "opportunity only knocks once" has been a motivating force throughout my life. After a 20-year career managing major construction projects, including the London Olympics, I was given the chance to lead an internal start-up. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity I couldn't pass up.Seizing this opportunity introduced me to the importance of coaching. Transitioning from a technical expert to an executive leader meant developing strong leadership and strategic management skills. That and learning to learn about myself - not entirely comfortable. My achievements include:• Driving multi-million-pound building projects at FTSE 100 index and Euronext Paris listed companies• Transforming a loss-making venture into a £75 million turnover business in seven years• Boosting profits by identifying, exiting and renegotiating loss making contracts• Acquisition and integration of VC backed owner operated business• Developing high performance teams through purpose-driven coaching• Overseeing senior leadership and organisational teams < 2200 people spread across 254 sites I am a firm believer in the importance of cognitive diversity.
