I'm currently scratching the itch on my practical side, building an extension for a lovely couple in Bristol.

I'm one of the founders of Pedal Progression and have worked at the company since its inception in 2012. The company provides high quality mountain bike hire and is a market leader in mountain bike skills coaching. We provide services to a range of customers from private 1-to-1 sessions to schools and corporates. Our team of coaches has worked with racers, as well as those having their first experience of the sport.

Pedal Progression won a tender in March 2021 to design and build a family friendly mountain bike park in inner city Bath. Sadly, at the final stages of planning, due to changes in the economy, rising costs and other factors outside of our control, the project was found not to be viable.

I've been involved in various trail and pumptrack builds, working with stone and asphalt surfacing.- Organised and helped manage the refurbishment of Ashton Court Nova mountain bike trail in 2018.- Worked with the team to asphalt the Velosolutions pump tracks in Hartcliffe and Cheddar.

I've written articles and product reviews for What Mountain Bike, Mountain Biking UK magazine and BikeRadar.com.- Product testing components, clothing and parts. Occasionally my photos were published too.- Bike testing. New bike tests and group tests, comparing bikes against each other.- Writing reviews from small 50 word pieces to 6 page 'long reads'. - Writing various blog style articles.- Video content. Two mountain bike skills series for Youtube, with BikeRadar. Now with over 4m views.

Shop floor and workshop staff with a few added responsibilities.- Selling high value mountain, road and hybrid bicycles.- Building new bikes for the shop floor. - Training staff about mountain bike product and sales techniques.- Merchandising the shop to push sales of the highest margin stock.- Diagnosing issues with customer bikes ahead of repair.

I managed the mountain bike and freeride program at Muskoka Woods, one of North Americas largest and most highly rated summer camp sports resorts. This included heading up a small team to deliver exceptional experiences for our guests.- Highest levels of customer service.- Taking groups of varying abilities mountain biking.- Building trails and fun features to add value for the guests.- Keeping to a tight safeguarding policy.- Creating exceptional and life changing experiences for the guests in my care.- Giving motivational talks to groups of up to 1000 people.
