This role requires acting as CIO/CTO on behalf of multiple enterprise clients setting the technology roadmap and managing teams to implement the designed solutions. Leveraging private and public cloud, HCI stacks, and SaaS-IaaS providers with business continuity and disaster preparedness in highly available environments balancing solutions based on client needs, direction and flexibility and providing significant cost savings and improved performance while managing engineering and support teams.

Architectural design, SOW, BOM, and pre-sales are many of the tasks for Structured Communications as well as post sales implementations. Taking a holistic approach and understanding the client’s current environment and desires for cloud first strategies and providing solutions to accomplish those goals. During this time, I also built the MSP team and increased operational efficiency and training for the engineers resulting in cost savings for the clients and improved profitability for the organization.

Leveraging my experience in Data Center moves and data center design and buildout I worked with several large clients on independent projects during this time that included moving a NY law firm’s DC to Scottsdale AZ and a new DC design and buildout for Fairwinds credit union in Orlando FL. - Additional details available upon request

Responsibilities at Compunet were focused on all things Data Center other than route switch, including site surveys, Data center migrations, process analysis and capacity planning to assist in providing TCO and life cycle management, EBC’s. This included working with multiple account managers in several territories running the process from start to finish from determining needs creating a solution and implementing the solution for the customer. Many manufactures specific tools were used in the process and BOM created and validated. Below are some of the key products used and implemented.

Major responsibilities consist of negotiating capacity planning and data center redesign to follow best practices based on ISO standards. Creating ROI and TCO documentation for new initiatives and eliminating single points of failure with clusters, HA solutions, and N plus 1 configuration as well as maintenance contracts for all hardware and facility related equipment in 3 data centers.Tier 1 applications have a RPO of less than 5 minutes and RTO of less than 10. As the architect I am also responsible for creating 5 year technology plans, managing the budget, and creating PNP’s and SLA’s
