In this position I worked as part of an I.T Team to support around 400 users across 3 states. My work involved:- Providing support to users both on the phone and face to face.- Implementing new hardware and software, including machines such as IBM Blade Centres and SANS- Imaging of new equipment and constant management of the imaging process through Windows Deployment Services- Upkeep of the Disaster Recovery Centre and Data Backup Procedures.- Asset Management and upkeep of the database software (Hardcat)- Constant modification of Kixtart scripts and Active Directory.My Professional highlights at CVGT include:- Implementing an entire helpdesk system (SysAid) that had a huge positive outcome on the efficiency of I.T throughout the entire organisation.- The development of a completely non “unique pc” WAN which meant that any user could operate on any machine with all functionality available automatically, creating sharp turnaround times on leased equipment returns.
