I am a volunteer tutor in mathematics with MasteryHour.org which started earlier this fall to address the problem of kids getting left behind as their schools transitioned to remote learning. The organization hopes to connect its volunteers with families in need of extra support.

Tutoring of elementary, middle, and high schoolers in biology, math, and chemistry. Both paid and volunteer.

Worked with Professor Raymond Goodrich, Director of the IDRC in Fort Collins Colorado. Researched the potential application of the Mirasol Blood Pathogen Reduction Technology System, which uses riboflavin and UV light to destroy DNA, inactivating tumor cells for use in a therapeutic cancer vaccine. Determined whether treated tumor cell lines could proliferate, measured damage to the tumor cell, and antibody staining for preservation of surface markers.

Worked with Dr. Ali Khoshnan. Researched the effect of the bacterial amyloid protein curli on huntingtin aggregation. Tested HEK-293 transfected with mutant huntingtin protein with endogenously expressed curli and with added purified curli protein extracted from bacterial cultures.

Designed custom maxillofacial surgical splints, prepared skull model designs, and post-processed 3d printed designs for use in surgical procedures and planning. Learned Magics 3D design software for use in the design of surgical splints.
