I accepted an opportunity to coach high school boy's lacrosse. Much like my previous coaching experiences I had a lot of similar challenges, but at a much more competitive level. In addition to coaching, I had more responsibility to communicate with the school to organize transportation, trainer time, ordering fields/referees.

 Developed a process to efficiently scan through data to produce quality results while meeting strict deadlines. Cleansed over 7000 product data records within a strict timeline for all of Heinz. Was able to meet all deadlines while also absorbing an increased scope of 20%. Communicate with team members to resolve issues as well as report progress to superiors.

I am the head coach for two boy's youth lacrosse teams in the Pittsburgh area. I have been given the opportunity to coach for both Pine Richland Boy's Youth Lacrosse and The Gorillas Boy's Select programs since the winter of last year. I enjoy being able to still be apart of the local lacrosse community and contribute my knowledge of the game to the youth.

As an analyst, I am expected on a daily basis to perform a variety of techniques and procedures to complete client samples and in-house tasks. On any given day, I have been asked to perform techniques that don't always go together, so I have placed these techniques and certifications under three different categories: Food Microbiology, Environmental Microbiology, and Other. Food Microbiology: Prepping daily food samples to be enriched for Salmonella, Listeria, and E. coli 0157 species. Plating of food samples to be analyzed for microbes such as coliform, E. coli, Staphylococcus and others. Prepping/inoculating/ and analyzing of daily food controls. Operation of Molecular Detection System (MDS). American Proficiency Institute certified.Environmental Microbiology: Preparing and analyzing water samples such as pool water, drinking water, and fecal waters using a variety of techniques. This includes: presence/absence using colilert, MPN techniques (membrane-filtration and Quanti-Tray), and confirmation techniques upon requests. BOD/CBOD analysis of ground water and fecal water using Scalar. Use company computer program to search and batch samples. Sort through large amount of paperwork to prioritize samples and determine the appropriate analysis. All techniques are performed to comply within DEP, EPA, and A2LA standards. Other: Calibrate and read; pH meters, thermometers, conductivity meters, weights and scales. Operation of both electronic and non-electronic autoclaves. Preparation of media. Sterilizing equipment and media using autoclaves and hot plates. Cleaning water baths and incubators. Report to Team-Leader on a daily basis. Keeping accurate and organized data on paper as well as in Microsoft Excel. Integrating safety into all tasks and procedures. In addition to being an analyst, I was a driver for Microbac before moving into the micro-lab. Drive company car, pickup/drop off samples, talk to clients.

Drive out with Technician or Engineer to job site. Take temperature reads of monitoring-wells (ground water), conductivity reads, water/well depth readings. Calibrate instruments like pH meters, thermometers daily. Remove water samples using low flow water pumps to be sent to a lab. Help install and remove monitoring wells. Keep accurate and organized data.

Worked the night shift over holidays to make some extra money.

This job was a summer position where I worked inside a window manufacturing plant loading freshly coated frames onto about 15 different saw cutter belts. This job was performed while constantly being alert and wearing PPE such as steel toe boats and safety glasses as to minimize risk of injury. Because of the large demand for a quality product, the environment was very fast paced and demanded on average 12 hour days 7 days a week. Safety was the greatest priority.
