Worked as Comsys programming consultant at AWG updating and converting code to current DB2 standards.

As MCG consultant, Matt was assigned to DST for Development, testing, maintainance and support of Cobol II programs using TSO, DB2 & Fileaid.Worked on systems designed to convert certificate data from one company's format to that of DST. This required a strong effort as many details for the conversion were unknown and changes had to be made immediately during the testing sometimes several times daily.

For Intellimark IT Business Solutions, Matthew provided coding, testing and set-up JCL for mutual fund applications that included VRU, IPA, ACH and a variety of other systems at SunGard. All programs written required a strong background in DB2 and IMS. Matthew gained experience with Platinum tools and Utilities.

At Sprint, Matthew progressed from a junior programmer to a lead analyst. His experience included maintaining and developing a number of systems during this time. He served in a lead analyst role supervising programmer/ analyst activities for multiple projects and systems. He provided hardware product development and support for payroll, human resources and inventory systems. These systems required a strong knowledge of IMS and case tools such as Fileaid, IMS-XPERT, Comparex, SuperC etc. He managed the development of the Compensations Modeling Project, that determined and modified salary structure. This project required interaction between DB2 and KBMS (Artificial Intelligence). This also required knowledge of APS (Application Painter System) a code generator. After the project ended he was chosen as the programmer to maintain the system which he did for the next 4 yesars. He served as the lead resource for ROSCOE to TSO conversions. This project required strong knowledge of both systems as well as converting RPFs to REXX. He assisted in the development and installation of a human resources multiple-options style Flex Benefits package. He participated in the project to convert Sprints previously COBOL-based applications to DB2. In addition to the above, Matthew worked on many special assignments and projects during the time he was employed at Sprint.
