Responsibility for management of Traffic and Transport, Waste Management, Asset Strategy and Capital Works planning teams within a Local Government environment in Eastern Melbourne.

Am currently working on a range of transport planning and transport technology projects including:Mobility Management solutions for Translink Division, Department of Transport and Main Roads, Queensland, focusing on development of personalised mobility solutions across key customer segments.Project Manager for the Scottish Smart and Integrated Ticketing project to develop an integrated vision for smart ticketing in Scotland and supporting technical infrastructure/ solutions to support this vision.Previously (2010 - 2012) served as Project Manager (Transport) to the Comprehensive Planning process for the Holy Cities of Makkah and Madinah in Saudi Arabia. Key tasks included development of requisite transport infrastructure and service management to both support city development and Hajj/Ramadan/Umrah holy ritual requirements. Included capital planning requirements to support road, rail, bus planning and pedestrian infrastructure solutions.

Served as contractor (corridor planning): Gold Coast Rapid Transit project. Provided corridor planning services for future stages of the Gold Coast Rapid Transit project including route alignment and analysis, environmental assessment and stakeholder/community engagement services.

Manager of 8 staff within the Transport Planning team in Integrated Transport Planning Division of Queensland Transport. Team responsibilities included management and coordination of corridor planning and network planning services across South East Queensland. Key projects included CAMCOS rail corridor studies (Caloundra South and Maroochydore town centre) , Australia TradeCoast Transport Study, Ipswich-Springfield corridor study, Mt Lindesay-Beaudesert STNI in addition to transport planning advice on development controls under the Integrated Planning Act.Served as Acting Director - Urban Congestion Office with a team of 8 staff, reporting directly to Director-General of Queensland Transport on matters relating to urban congestion.

Held the role of both Manager Assets and Coordinator – Asset Strategy settingstrategic direction for Council in the area of infrastructure Asset Management and life cycle analysis to achieve maximum cost effectiveness.In the role as Manager, I had nine staff under my direction, managing 4 staff in Coordinator - Asset Strategy role. Prepared Asset Management Strategies and plans for endorsement byCouncil and implemented an asset management system into an existing service environment, establishing maintenance procedures and establishment of service levels. I also researched and authored Council’s Integrated Transport Plan and provided Council advice on all matters related to construction of Eastlink toll road through project development phase.

Provided asset management and transport planning services to a range of Local Government and development companies, incorporating development of asset management systems, condition audits and assessments and design guidance across a range of asset sectors, including playgrounds, drainage, road and path assets.

Worked in the traffic and transport teams across two offices - Cork, Ireland and Melbourne, Australia. Delivered traffic management plans and road safety audits across a variety of projects including Swan St reconstruction, Geelong Road widening and Docklands infrastructure development in Melbourne and Ringaskiddy traffic study, Limerick Transport Study and Whithall Traffic Study in Ireland.

Worked in the transport team as a graduate transport planner/ traffic engineer working across a variety of projects including Eastlink EIS, Federal Office of Road Safety accident analysis, Heathcote Traffic Management study and multiple traffic impact assessments.
