Hello, my name is Matthew Hartness, and I am a finance major with a collateral inmarketing at the University of Tennessee. I have maintained a 3.96 grade point averagethroughout my first three semesters at the University of Tennessee while being heavily involved inGreek life and multiple student organizations. This proves I maintain the ability to successfullyhandle multiple tasks at one time. Currently, in my fraternity, I work on a social team thatmanages a hundred-thousand-dollar budget and attend weekly meetings to schedulephilanthropic fundraisers. This role has given me practice with large-scale financial budgetingand has taught me the value of a dollar. Successfully participating in this role proves me to havea basic financial and budgeting understanding. I am also very skilled when itcomes to communication. This past summer I had the opportunity of working as a project leaderfor a construction company. Every day, I used skills of leadership to communicate a specificproject to a team of different age groups. I became dependent on skills of communication andteam strategy throughout the summer.My current goal is to keep being a professional and hardworking coworker and student. I also want tokeep looking for an internship to build a foundation for my future career. My future goals are tosuccessfully find an internship, and use that internship to find a job in the city I want to live inafter college. Eventually, I want to use my strengths and experience to be involved with wealth management.
