Camp xplode is a multi activity adventure day camp. I was hired as ‘chief’ of the 5-7 year age bracket. After a few weeks I was then promoted to the assistant manger of the entire camp for the rest of the season. Duties: - Providing support for the 15 staff members on site as well as the 100 children coming to the camp. - Being on call for any first aid matters occurring throughout the camp, and ensuring the overall safety of the children is being carried out at all times.- Helping the manager to design the day to day program to be provided to the children. When needed, opening up the camp at the start of the day and closing the camp up after the day is completed.

Duties:- Removal of hazardous asbestos materials from site. Adhering to the correct safety protocol to keep myself and others out of harm. - Documenting the removal of the hazardous asbestos material, in additional to time management documentation. General site labourer. Including levelling areas of fill, moving of materials, cleaning of equipment, keeping on top of risk management. - Looking after the up keeping of site, putting tools away, cleaning down machines after use, storing materials correctly. Managing sub contractors.- Shadowing the project manager to help achieve the scope of the project and bring in projects on time.

I was invited back to Camp America in 2019 taking on the additional role of Athletic Director, as well as my original role of Unit Leader. My time was focused on organising and running the sports program for the entire camp. Duties:- Managing 12 staff members in the junior unit, ensuring the welfare and wellbeing of all.- Overseeing up to 30 children at a time, dealing with issues from homesickness to dietary requirements.- Organising a wide variety of sports, games and activities, including sailing, basketball, baseball, hiking, camping for different age groups as well as abilities ensuring inclusion at all times. - Ordering & maintaining equipment for the athletic department as required.- Leading groups in maintenance tasks making sure the team kept on track and the tasks were completed to a high standard.

Plonkers wine bar is a small family run gastro pub and wine bar in the city centre of York. Within a month of working I have been promoted to Supervisor at the pub. Duties:- Preparing all drinks provided, from coffees to cocktails and pulling pints.- Hosting tables for the duration of their meal. - Reading the quiz every week to up to 10 groups of 2-8 people. - Holding a set of keys for the pub, carrying the responsibility of locking the pub up on a night and opening up on a morning.- Dealing with customer complaints to come to a satisfied outcome to the customer. - Carrying out the weekly line clean of all the beers, making sure the line cleaner has gone through the pipes- Signing, putting away and ordering of the deliveries onto the site, sometimes for the kitchen as well. - Counting the tills and floats for the tills on the odd occasion that the owners are away.

Nespresso is a multinational coffee company who operate under the Nestle banner and deal in premium coffee, coffee machines and accessories. I worked at the York Head Office Call Center handling all manner of customer enquiries and queries. I started working for Nespresso as a temporary coffee specialist till the end of the year but due to my performance my contract has been extended.

The Joiners Arms is a busy and popular pub/ restaurant based in Quarndon Derby. The pub offers a traditional pub experience with a wide range of ales and lagers as well as a specialist offering of Gin varieties. There are also two restaurant settings on the site, a garden room and the ‘workshop,’ as well as a large outdoor area. I worked at the pub while finishing my degree, and continued on a ‘full time’ basis over the summer. Working as a food runner, bar floor assistant and bartender. I gained experience in handling cash, and taking orders as well as the less ‘glamorous’ duties in working in a pub. For example cleaning the tables and glass washing, receiving and processing deliveries for the cellars, replenishment of cutlery and napkins e.t.c as well as dealing with customer problems and complaints.

Breezy Knees is a Garden visitor attraction with a Nursery and Garden Centre attached. I worked there over the summer on a part time contract for both the Nursery/ Garden centre and the Café. I carried out a variety of duties around the gardens & in the Nursery from receiving new stock and distributing this around the centre, to general gardening tasks like weeding, watering and composting. When required I worked the tractor to fetch and carry the larger ‘products’. When working in the café, I carried out food preparation and general service duties including waiting tables and serving at the counter. A full day in the Café would see me taking in and checking off deliveries of produce, to preparing and serving simple dishes and waiting tables, all the way through to washing the pots and dishes at the end of the day

I worked there over the summer on a full time contract. While at Flamingoland I worked in Arcade Maintenance and Vending, I gained a vast amount of standard maintenance experience, such as first response for break downs on machines, dealing with different external contractors where required, call outs from customers where machines weren’t working as well as completing stock checks and replenishments for all the park machines.

I worked in the MacArthur Glen outlet unit, on an eight hour per week contract. Whilst working for Bench I gained valuable general retail experience including handling cash and operating the till, re-stocking the shop and generally dealing with the public. During my time in the branch I was the subject of the mystery shopper and gained the highest score achieved by the branch. In addition to this I came top in the branch UPT (Unit Per Transaction) incentive for the Christmas period.
