I discovered my passion for Software Engineering while making wine as a Wine Chemist. My role was to track fermentation metrics and enable data-driven decisions by providing actionable information to wine makers. My innate curiosity led me to learn programming and build automated tools with Microsoft Office Visual Basic for Applications. The feedback I received from not only the computer screen, but from the dozens of coworkers using my applications to improve their workflow ignited a fire inside me.From then on, I knew I had to pursue a career where I could continuously improve processes and never stop growing my technical abilities. The impact that software has on all of our daily lives is nothing short of astounding, and I am humbled to be able to contribute to the world's digital infrastructure. To me there is no greater feeling than knowing that someone is benefiting from an application I worked on, and hearing their ideas about how it might function more effectively for them. When I'm not coding you can find me listening to podcasts (mostly technical), taking photos, and getting outdoors on my bike.If you share a similar passion, let’s connect! I always enjoy hearing about people’s journeys and what gets them fired up.
