As Head of New Business Development I am responsible for leading a team of product specialists that help to guide new and existing partners to the benefits of the range of solutions offered by the Ocado Smart Platform.With strong links into our Technology Development & Partner Success teams, understanding the strategic direction of the wider eCommerce markets is a critical aspect of the role, alongside ensuring that our range of product development matches the ever changing commercial needs of our partners.

Leading a Business Development team working with a range of international prospects and partners for Ocado Group, overseeing and coordinating multiple global projects of considerable size and complexity.

This role involved working with a wide range of leading international grocers, helping them to realise their growth strategy through the adoption of Ocado Smart Platform; providing commercially astute advice on the end-to-end automated fulfilment solutions offered by Ocado.Representing a wide range of stakeholders within Logistics and Engineering, this role required in depth knowledge across diverse fields such as Design, Technology, Construction, Finance & Legal; bringing all of these areas of the business together to provide a compelling proposition to our clients and their senior leaders.

A multi-faceted role involving the shaping of future online order fulfilment strategy, in-store operations and the design of dedicated online fulfilment centres.Line management responsibility for the network planning team; overseeing a team of 10 planners & lead analyst to support both daily and strategic operations.Implementation of numerous projects including network planning software upgrades, team transformation & reverse supply chain process overhaul.

Looking after the eCommerce operations for Scotland & the North of England, this role involved working on developing best practice in store, and working with central teams to roll out new processes and procedures to deliver incremental operational efficiency improvements.

Joining the business as a graduate, after extensive training across four branches, I worked in a variety of branch management roles covering all aspects of the store operation.

Responsibility for driving sales within a number of stores through creative techniques, merchandising, tastings, maintaining on trade relationships, and developing trainee staff.
