I am a Mechatronic & Robotic Engineering student at the University of Sheffield studying for my MEng, as part of this course I study a wide range of engineering skills, with a strong focus on control and systems engineering. This academic year, I am completing a Year in Industry placement with Transport for London working with the Engineering & Technology team.At the University I have been part of several societies, including being both Operations Officer and President of the Automatic Control & Systems Engineering society (now called the Mechatronic & Computer Systems Engineering Society) as well as being a part of the walking club who make great use of the proximity to the Peak District to organise some amazing trips and the Technical Services Committee who maintain and run the club nights & gigs that take place in the University.I have studied a variety of programming languages with a focus on Python, C & C++, however I am also familiar with JavaScript/TypeScript, MATLAB, C# and Visual Basic. I have experience using the Robot Operating System for robotic applications as well as using and programming PLCs for industrial automation.Previous projects I have worked on include my A-Level Extended Project Qualification where I wrote an ML based classification system to predict pollution levels from weather data using the London Air Quality API as well as the Met Office API making use of Google's TensorFlow library as well as Django to build a website to display the data.In my free time I enjoy running, playing my Saxophone and tinkering with random projects.
