Global business development for Screenocean's historic and contemporary newsfilm collections within cultural/heritage projects, and for all platforms in the Middle East. Screenocean's collections include the iconic Reuters newsfilm archive dating back to 1896 and spanning the 20th century and the 21st so far. The Reuters library includes Visnews, and the Paramount, Gaumont British, Gaumont Graphic, Empire News and Universal newsreel libraries. Screenocean also represents documentary production from UK Channels Four and Five, and the Warner Bros TV production companies - Twenty Twenty, Wall to Wall, Renegade, Ricochet and Yalli.

Picfair is a start-up photography portal. My assignment, devising and implementing a strategy to kick-start Picfair's business within the advertising, broadcast and creative agency sectors. Early wins included licencing Picfair images for a Samsung ad campaign, and primetime ITV show Britain's Greatest Walks.

I have an unbroken track record of success in revenue generation for ITN Source from pro-active business development efforts within the cultural, heritage and TV production sectors. Most recently in the Middle East - a region with no previous revenue for ITN Source. I've secured and project managed complex licencing deals, and commissioned and delivered additional bilingual production assets.• I've proven success in securing six/seven figure contracts annually and achieving/exceeding all targets • I proactively presented and secured a groundbreaking multi £million licencing and production work contract with a cultural institution in Qatar, involving complex negotiations with three successive international decision makers over three years• I managed our six-figure annual contract with global news and documentary broadcaster Al-Jazeera Network from 2010 - 2017, engaging effectively at all levels from the CEO to production researchers. I successfully re-negotiated with the Qatari procurement department, growing the contract from an annual output deal to three-year rolling contract, retaining contract value whilst the Network was insisting on 20% cuts to all supplier contracts

• I created a highly profitable new business model for ITN Source which directly led to the company's first ever £ seven-figure licencing deal. Proactively engaged and agreed terms directly with His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan al Qassimi the Ruler of Sharjah and member of the Federal Supreme Council of the UAE. Project managed the digitisation and delivery of a landmark historic newsfilm collection.• I presented, agreed terms and managed an archive footage consultancy project with a GCC federal cultural institution. Negotiated six figure licence deals with UK footage archives and national broadcasters to create a multi partner historic sport and newsfilm collection

I joined ITN Source as a Sales Researcher, and by 2006 I had recruited and managed a team to grow ITN Source’s non-broadcast business. - Advertising, Corporate, New Media and the education and heritage sectors grew from 5% to 20% of ITN source revenue due to effective relationship development and implementation of new commercial models.

I was solely responsible editorially for creating several news stories with pictures and video per day for the Channel 4 News website. I sub-edited and delivered the ‘Snowmail’, Jon Snow’s daily news update. I also wrote and sent the C4N subscriber news alert SMS messages.As film researcher I found, cleared and negotiated copyright fees on archive footage for Channel 4 News, and documentary commissions for the Channel 4 News Indyfund and Channel 4 TV. Special projects included Naomi Klein’s documentary ‘No Logo’, Channel 4 News’s two hour long Queen Mother obituary, and Channel 4 TV’s ‘Through Muslim Eyes’.

I booked guests, wrote scripts and research briefs for Selina. I also acted as gallery PA during live studio recordings.

I was responsible for finding footage from ITN Archive, and buying in, and negotiating fees on non ITN material. Additional responsibility for keeping ITN’s C3 Network Royal Obituaries footage up to date. This involved chasing regional and national TV newsdesks for all Royal rota pool footage and overseeing the editing of those rushes into ITN’s 'latest pictures' edits.
