Audio Visual Technician
CurrentLive events technician: Rigging live events, from conferences to award shows, I help to put up the set design, rig all sound, light and data, which can range from free standing to flying equipment from truss. I run events on any of these disciplines, with data/video being my main forte on all large events. On large events I have control of all powerpoint slide, VT's and any other screen content, controlling all of these with the use of a vison mixer. I have knowledge of PiP's, mixing of live camera feeds and projector edge blending. On small scale events I would handle all of them. I liaise with the client at the event to ensure they are at ease with how everything will run and make sure all their requests are dealt with. This requires good problem solving skills when last minute requests are given on site with limited equipment available AV rental: I deliver and set up AV equipment to our accounts around Derby and Sheffield, liaise with the client to ensure they are happy with the use of the equipment. This requires good time management skills to ensure all bookings are deliver and set up on time. Event assistant: Creating quotes for clients to take in all their needs for their event, managing equipment costs to their budget and arranging the logistics of the collection of specialists equipment and organising in house equipment for each event. This requires good organisational skills along with a good understanding of equipment needed to create a show within a certain budget.
