Responsible for every aspect of retail banking for this denovo start-up subsidiary of a $15 billion national bank holding company headquartered in Wayzata, Minnesota. TCF National Bank does business in eight states. The following is a synopsis of accomplishments and areas of responsibility:• Created a sales environment where all 450 people in my division, from Tellers to Senior Vice-Presidents, thought of themselves as sales and service professionals first and bankers second. Under my leadership the sales force:• Grew deposits from $0 to $600MM.• Built a base of 140,000 accounts including 105,000 highly profitable checking accounts.• Averaged 119% of the divisional net income goal over the previous five-years.• Consistently sold more product than all other retail divisions at TCF Bank.• Full financial and P & L responsibility for the retail division.• Developed an exacting site location model based on 12 scored criteria designed to maximize branch performance• Designed, constructed and opened 24 In-Store and 34 Traditional brick and mortar banks.• Oversaw recruiting and the creation and delivery of training.• Accountable for audit readiness, controls and procedures.• Managed Branch Support, Backroom Operations, Security, Facilities, Loss Prevention andRetail Marketing
