I’m currently working as supervisor/vocal point for EnerMech Ltd at Perenco Bacton. I deal with the Project, Maintenance, Operations and Metering teams. We carry out numerous operations from pipe fitting, bolting, pipeline operations, lifting and crane operations, leak testing, hydro testing, machining, CSE, jetting and any other tasks or projects we can help with. I have been in a permanent position there for the past 4 years and on and off for the past 8. During this time I have built great relations with all Perenco staff and have extensive knowledge of the plant and equipment onsite. I’m reliable, experienced and competent in my position and enjoy working at the Bacton site. I’m always looking to learn, push and improve myself. Individually motivated and enjoy working as a member of a team. I’m currently studying POLs as I feel my next step is to work for a gas company and move from the service side of the industry. As supervisor/vocal point on the Perenco Bacton site it is my reasonability to liaison with the client for their work needs. I take this information and plan the job up to the point we can carry it out. This includes creating the permits, helping with isolations, work packs, risk assessments, planning equipment and personnel. Once the job is ready to start I supervise my team out on site. I will then and have with many previously jobs supervise the shift and team in order to safely and efficiently carry out leak tests, hydrostatic tests and bolting scopes. Ensure good working relationship with onsite client. Carry out toolbox talks ensuring all involved have a clear understanding of tasks to be carried out. Conduct and document line walks of systems using P&IDs. Using isometric drawings while carrying out bolting scopes. Adequately manage paperwork ensuring all required and necessary forms are complete and signed. Being involved in shutdown and startup operations of HP/LP systems. Maintaining constant communications with client and other companies on conflicting and ongoing work activities. Have a complete understanding of the permit to work system of each company or asset visited. Following procedures and risk assessments. Carry out shift handovers reviewing and discussing on going work scopes and permits. Minimising impact to the environment. Work carried out, N2 leak testing, Nitrogen and helium leak testing, Pigging, pipe freezing, Hydraulic bolt torquring and tensioning, Rig up and down of equipment, line walks with P&IDs, isolating valves, completing paperwork, confined space entry.
