Responsible for marketing strategy, sales planning, supply chain planning, product development, technical marketing and product stewardship/sustainability strategic partnerships for BHP's copper and by-product commodities produced from Escondida and Pampa Norte (Chile), Antamina (Peru), and South Australia Copper (Australia).Global team leadership with team members in Singapore, China (Shanghai), Chile (Santiago), and the Philippines (Manila).FY22 Base Metal commodity sales of ~US$17Bn including 1.1Mt Copper contained (in concentrate and cathodes), Zinc (in concentrate), Uranium, and other associated by-products including gold, silver and molybdenum.

Responsible for driving long term placement, pricing and commercial strategy for BHP's Metals sales book including refined and non-refined Copper, Zinc, Nickel and Uranium from Escondida, Pampa Norte, Antamina and Olympic Dam.

BHP Portfolio Strategy – contribution to the development of BHP's portfolio and commodity strategy, including supporting the development of BHP's strategic framework and portfolio strategy board deliverables.

Managed the commercial operation of GLNG’s 7.2 Mtpa LNG SPAs and spot LNG sales (~90 cargoes / year), and key KOGAS and PETRONAS customer accounts. Key accountabilities included: volume management and allocation; term contract quantity and annual delivery programme (ADP) negotiations; resolution of customer issues and contract disputes; and obtaining relevant JV approvals.Identified, evaluated, and operationally executed various LNG transactions including: spot/strip LNG deals; flexible offtake arrangements; and operational and shipping optimisations.Evaluated and implemented measures to manage: LNG production uncertainties; counter-party credit risks; pricing risks; shipping risks; and domestic gas market challenges.Managed the LNG Sales Operations team responsible for: LNG inventory management and scheduling; risk management; optimisation opportunity analysis; back office matters; and counterparty liaison.

Lead role in strategic planning & decision evaluation for the US$19 billion Gladstone LNG project with significant engagement across a broad range of GLNG and joint venture (Total, Santos, PETRONAS, KOGAS) stakeholders to steer portfolio capital allocation; capital investments; short-term and long-term LNG marketing and gas supply strategy; and commercial negotiations.Commercial structuring, investment evaluation, negotiation support and senior leader engagement in relation to major upstream (wells, gathering, compression, power) & midstream (transmission pipelines, LNG plant) capital investments; gas sales & purchase agreements; acquisitions and divestments; farm-ins; and project tollgates. Led a small team of analysts and senior analysts.

Supported and advised the executive team on commercial and business development activities including: commercial progression of Arrow's proposed LNG developments; electricity and gas offtake and hedging agreements for its 3 gas-fired power stations; capital structuring and funding strategies; JV developments; asset swaps; and farm-in arrangements.Led and substantially contributed to acquisition and divestments including defence of the A$3.5bn Shell/PetroChina takeover; full acquisition of the A$450M Braemar II power station; A$450M acquisition of Tipton West Gas Project; and a ~A$300M bid for a 450MW gas fired power station
