Serving as an Office Engineering Intern from May to August 2017, I performed quantity takeoffs on aspects of roadways, bridges and wastewater treatment plants using plans and specifications included in released RFPs. I coordinated with clients and subcontractors to aid in the creation of project estimates for five different jobs, including the restoration of the historic Arlington Memorial Bridge, in Washington, D.C. I gained experience in handling a large volume of quotes and proposal documents while maintaining updated online databases of each.

At Reliable Contracting Co. I worked with fabricators and operators to carry out urgent repairs on a 500 ton/hour asphalt plant. Through this I gained hands-on experience servicing mechanical linkages in addition to hydraulic and piping systems. In addition to technical experience, I further developed a devoted work ethic via 10.5 hour days of manual labor in January.

Through Lehigh University's Mountaintop Program, I co-lead a team of post-graduate students conducting research on urban design and transportation, and their role in integrating and connecting the university's three sprawling campuses. One premier focus of the project was how the ever-changing technology of today might aid in innovating the tired and inefficient transportation systems which have been relatively unchanged for decades.

Field Work: Member of a Survey Crew, performing both boundary and topographical surveys through the operation of a Total Station (combination of a theodolite and electronic distance meter) and prism.Office Work: Jr. Engineering Technician, converting hand-drafted plats, drawings, and property boundaries into AutoCAD Civil 3D and performing relevant computations within the program. Government Regulation Correspondent, coordinating the submission and approval of permits, final plans and as-builts with the relevant Anne Arundel County and/or City of Annapolis agencies.Organizational Technician, carrying out the office's transition from its previous organizational system to a paperless network.

At Chesapeake Oral Surgery Associates, I shadowed Dr. Richard Garden and assisted him in oral & maxillofacial surgeries. In addition to the surgical aspect of the position, I also managed the organization and sterilization of surgical supplies and equipment.
