My first career as an adult was as an automotive technician. I decided to explore a career change to emergency services around 1995. After exploring fire, emergency medical and police options I setteled on law enforcement.I attended the academy while working full time as a 911 dispatcher at the Taney Country Sheriff's Dept. Next, I worked for the the Kimberling City Police Dept and then the Stone County Sheriff's Dept, which is where I have remained for most of my career.In 2000 I was hired at Stone County. As a patrol Sergeant in 2004 I was offered the opportunity to start and manage the new fleet maintenance facility. I worked there for two years.In 2006 I was hired by DynCorp International as a police mentor. I worked at several positions but I became a subject matter expert in the finance system of the Afghan National Police.In 2009 I returned to the United States and worked for the Branson West Police Department for one year before returning to the Stone County Sheriff's Dept, where I am currently employed as a Detective.The most important job I have ever held is that of a father and husband. In 2016, our then 12 year old son was diagnosed with neuroblastoma. We sought treatment at St Jude Children's Research Hospital. He continues to battle this disease as of August, 2018.
