•Responsible for design of fuel storage systems at a Tier 1 Honda supplier•Create 3D layouts in Catia V5 using solid modeling and surfacing for extrusion blow molded fueltanks; plastic injection fittings, valves, clips, brackets, and absorbers; extruded plastic tubes;rubber parts; and stamped steel parts•Create 2D drawings and documents used to verify quality during mass production•Apply countermeasures to design for results outside of specifications by competently reviewingdesign verification simulations and test results; understanding manufacturing processes,simulations, and trial results; and collaborating with local and international groups•Prepare presentations and checklists and present designs to international management toreceive approval to issue data used to prepare tooling.•Work with internal sales and purchasing to improve robustness of customer quotes, aid innegotiations with customer purchasing, prepare value added designs, and verify supplier quotes•Develop and meet design and drawing schedules that allow tooling and trialing to be completedon time to meet customer delivery targets•Train junior engineers in company processes and review prepared designs, drawings, anddocumentation

•Focused on plastic injection tooling development at a rapidly expanding Tier 1 Honda supplier •Trialing, performance analysis, and modification of plastic injection molds•Inspect prototype and preproduction interior and exterior automotive parts and assemblies for dimensional accuracy, functionality, and aesthetics proposing and implementing solutions for any and all concerns•Develop schedules to meet customer needs coordinating mold modifications with tool shops•Communicate problems, solutions, and schedules externally with customer, tool shops, and suppliers and internally with management, production, assembly, quality, metrology, testing, and shipping departments•Review and approve tooling schematics and mold modification quotations from suppliers•Review and negotiate compensation requests to customer
