Matt Marquarr after 25 years, left Lockheed Martin to hike the Pacific Crest Trail. He is currently writing about project management concepts as he hikes the 2,650 mile adventure.Matt has built a proven track record for successful and efficient turn-arounds, critical path mitigations, and increased customer satisfaction. Matt’s long term desire is simply to drive bold, inclusive solutions to complex challenges. Initial career highlights focused around mechanical engineering including: computational fluid dynamics, algorithm development, flight test, and hardware verification. This diverse background easily translated into broad problem solving focus including program consulting, supplier turn arounds, protecting manufacturing schedule, and focused improvement teams. Matt’s education background includes a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oral Roberts University and a Masters of Business Administration focused on Finance and Strategy from Southern Methodist University. Matt has had the honor of multiple continuing education and leadership developments programs offered through Lockheed Martin including: Engineering Leadership Development Program, Program Management Leadership Development Program, and Finance Leadership Academy.
