Provide "real world" feedback to product development teams during NPI project phase to help make products more robust and easier to troubleshoot. Teach training sessions for new products to Tech Support, Sales, and Mfg Engineers as needed.

Assimilated new team with a breadth of legacy and current product knowledge from candidates within engineering and manufacturing. Transitioned out of Project Management and took on new role as Sr. Product Engineer to help shield development team from sustaining issues so they could focus solely on new product development. Provided Engineering/Sustaining support for released products. Liaison between Engineering and Technical Support to resolve issues, track field issues, trends, etc. Gave new product training for Tech Support, dealers, customers, etc.

AMX acquired XN Technologies, Inc. in December of 2006.Managed cross-departmental project teams from US and UK sites for Audio/Video switching and control products. Released DXLink products for video/control over category cables, HD-SDI boards for large scale switchers, and other related DGX products.

Created 2D & 3D demos, graphics, system design specs and BOM analysis for conceptual projects. Compiled and proposed new product ideas by gathering cross-departmental input on new product designs. Conduced competitive research on similar products in the market. Analyzed costing and feasibility for project components to determining best course of action. Helped specify components for new projects. Provided cost projections and potential product life-cycle analysis. Served as marketing and development liaison/negotiator on new project ideas.Managed a variety of audio/video switching products. Focused primarily on projects dealing with front panel and user interface design. Created new user interface design and menu structure for all matrix switchers. Developed strategic plan to standardize AutoPatch control panels. Researched User Interface techniques to assist in redesign of AutoPatch switcher control software. Developed 3D parts for vacuum forming, and pad printing for AutoPatch large scale switcher (Epica 256).

Designed patented vibration sensor for portable fetal heart monitor for medical division. Composed MATLAB programs for vibration analysis, impulse tests, and to track fetal heart beats. Assisted marketing team in making a retail version of the fetal heart monitor (TinyTickers TM). Conducted in-house and tradeshow live-subject product tests to better understand and demonstrate product capabilities. Worked with manufacturing on product design and manufacturing techniques to aid in production.
