Great problem solver, has very strong work ethic, organization skills and is a great teammate. Problem solving skills can be evidenced by outstanding Math grades and achievements. Received an award from Northwestern University for ACT score in seventh grade. Finished in the top 20 in the state of Wisconsin in MathCounts in eighth grade. Earned 10 college Calculus credits (with A's) while in high school. Scored a perfect 36 on the Math portion of the ACT. Although it may not always be the case with elite Math students, the problem solving extends to dealing with people and real life situations. To excel at building software one needs a very strong work ethic. Whatever I am working on, be it a job or a project, I give it my all. I am consistently praised by my peers, superiors, customers and subordinates at my job for this. Going to school while working full time (not to mention family life and home remodeling) was a challenge. But I accepted it and graduated with honors. This could not have been accomplished without hard work, though. Graduating from college did not mean it was time to stop learning. In fact, having been used to the grind, I have since been using the time no longer required for school to learn new technologies and solidify important concepts not thoroughly covered in school. I am always reading something, either a chapter from one of my textbooks from school, or a book I have purchased about a tech I am learning. And I am always working on a project. School, family, work, remodeling, coaching, etc. The more you have on your plate, the more important your organization becomes. I have a difficult time operating unless things are organized. So, the requirements of organization in a software development setting are something I appreciate. I have always been a great teammate, whether on a sports team or a school project or a work setting. In school, students would always cringe when it was time to work in groups. Admittedly, I would too. Then I discovered that when you're working on something that you're interested in, it is a great experience. I even become excited about it. These qualities, along with my passion for developing, have and will continue to make me a very strong candidate as a software developer.
