As a dynamic and results-oriented Managing Director, I lead a dedicated team at OSCA to achieve operational excellence and drive meaningful impact in our community. My responsibilities encompass a wide range of critical areas, ensuring the smooth functioning and growth of our organization.Operations Management:I oversaw the strategic planning and execution of OSCA's recreation and community programs, special events, and our Recreational Partnership Agreement (RPA) with the City of Ottawa. My role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including the City's Centre Director and the Councillor's office, to ensure the effective use of community center space and address any operational concerns.Financial Management:I am responsible for creating and managing our annual operating budget, monitoring expenses against the budget, and facilitating the annual audit. Additionally, I oversee compliance with financial and tax reporting requirements for government agencies and actively seek out financial support through grants and contributions to support our initiatives.Human Resources Management:I lead the management of our staff, including hiring, termination, performance assessment, and staff development. IT Operations and Policy:I manage OSCA's IT infrastructure, systems, and software to ensure they are up-to-date and cost-effective, providing maximum benefit for our operational needs. I review and make recommendations to the Board for updates on an annual basis.Operational Policies:I supervise the development and implementation of health and safety policies, manage liability exposure, oversee record-keeping and privacy policies, and ensure compliance with corporate and governance reporting requirements.Strategic Planning and Organizational Development:I actively participate in the Board's strategic planning initiatives and provide valuable advice to the Executive Committee and the Board on the future of OSCA's organizational development.
