As the Health Policy Analyst for Jackson County Public Health Department I have gained experience on how Missouri public policy functions on a local and state level. Using my past experience of working with Kansas legislators directly, I've grown my ability to collaborate well among diverse groups to find commonalities and bring solutions to complex ideas. My role has allowed me to utilize the research and communication skills I’ve obtained in my Master's and undergraduate programs. In my position, I’ve most proud about giving back to the community and shaping lives for a more equitable and healthier society.
