As the SVP of Product Development, I am responsible for the definition, design and execution of a suite of products whose aim is to re-define the user experience in a rapidly expanding space. I am surrounded and supported by a small team of wildly talented and innovative individuals, who share the vision of making the world a better place to live. While we pursue patenting this technology, I remain purposefully obtuse in the description of my responsibilities.

The Customer Success team at Science 37 serves as a central repository for knowledge, wisdom, and insight. We provide services to a variety of stakeholders, including the Commercial team, ClinOps, Marketing, and Product. Our "customers" are all of those teams plus our Sponsors, CRO's and Business Partners. Whether it's product demos, on-boarding, influencing, providing thought leadership and problem solving for frontier inquiries, we do it all and more. This team also aims to serve as a professional services-esque silo within product, where we can build out custom solutions, or provide insight into what is possible.

As part of the Science 37 Tech team, I collaborate with motivated, energetic, and entrepreneurial individuals working together to achieve Science 37’s mission of changing the world of clinical research through patient-centered design. I have a hands-on role with the architecture and development of NORA® (Network Oriented Research Assistant), the technology that enables Science 37’s groundbreaking Metasite™ clinical research model. I collaborate with Product, Data, Clinical Operations, and other relevant stakeholders to define study specific NORA requirements. Key Responsibilities:1. Create, design, document and communicate technical solutions 2. Manage architectural consistency across the systems 3. Drive technical deep-dive sessions with internal and external clients 4. Partner with Product, Sales and Commercial teams and get involved in driving external facing partnerships/collaborations to ensure customer success 5. Develop NORA feasibility assessments for new study opportunities 6. Provide best practice recommendations with technical tradeoffs and risk assessment 7. Understand Science 37’s strategic and competitive position and help deliver products that are recognized as best in industry.

Major Accomplishment• Defined, delivered and executed a long term technology roadmap intended to transform the organization from one defined by paper based, ad-hoc processes and policies, to one supported by modern, digital technologies. Driven by extensive analysis of existed processes and operational norms, cultural shifts were necessary to help return company to financial stability and onward into profitability.Activities:• Designed and managed implementation of custom online RFP system that provided consistent quality in responses, tracking, and timeliness. Contributed directly to a near doubling of signed contracts over a 12 month period. • Delivered a document management system that transformed the organization from a paper/share-drive based organization to a sophisticated, secure, recoverable online cloud-based system that eliminated tremendous time waste and provided new levels of accountability, tracking, and organizational safety.• Implemented a workflow system for accounts payable that eliminated previously existing waste and confusion, while also providing customers and host organization with transparency, tracking, and reporting capabilities. Turn time for AP reduced from months to days, with outstanding payments over 30 days eliminated almost entirely.• Managed delivery of a contemporary website that showcased the services and products of the organization in a streamlined, artistic fashion. Previous website was terminally overdue for an uplift, calling for the inclusion of modern functionality and user services.

Major Accomplishment:• Designed and oversaw delivery of the “TFS Platform” which served as a gateway for external and internal customers to access and leverage financial services applications, allowing websites and dealer tools to sell finance and insurance products online.Activities:• Shepherd technology ecosystem through rampant changes from existing and divergent strategies into a cohesive go-forward design.• Serve as an evangelist for the Enterprise Architecture group, who oversaw governance, managed tech debt, and provided oversight to the Retail Transformation program and others.• Vendor and consultant management, including all phases of the engagement life-cycle.• Communication with numerous layers of management to ensure buy-in and consensus.• Creation and support of the “Agile Enablement Community,” TFS's first foray into Agile/Scrum.

Major Accomplishment:Delivered a paradigm shifting, content management and workflow system to a globally dispersed travel company. Moved company away from a decades old, outdated and troublesome paper based system to BPM enabled automated system.Activities:Providing world class technology leadership on numerous IT engagements across the globe. Engagements range from Enterprise Content Management & BPM solutions to website infrastructure design.

Major Accomplishment:Provided unprecedented uptime for mission critical FileNet imaging platform for JPMC Home Lending group while reducing support staff by 45% and increasing onshore/offshore split by 20%.Responsibilities:Managed production support, application development and project management teams for all imaging efforts within Chase Home Lending Technology.Defined improvements to architecture which delivered added stability and reduced priority 1 production support tickets by 60% over a 12 month period.Provided consultancy services for a wide range of business partners who wished to best leverage imaging technologies. Services included document storage, search, retrieval and workflow capabilities. Ensured that architecture, direction, and concerns were clearly communicated to senior leadership and business partners.Served as advocate and evangelist to business partners and senior leadership, providing clarity into technology, current state and future direction.Managed deployment of FileNet platform upgrades, configuration changes, custom applications & components.Delivered numerous projects to business partners ranging in size from 200 to 10,000 man hours.Managed multi-million dollar development budget and ensured that all book of work projects were delivered on time.Provided troubleshooting leadership, change control management, test plan creation and execution, monitoring and iterative improvements to platform performance. Managed all 3rd party vendors for Home Lending Imaging Technology, including offshore outsourcing companies. Worked closely with vendor support and engineering teams to ensure optimal performance from FileNet platform.

Major Accomplishment:Designed an enterprise-wide paperless mortgage system. Coordinated architecture and design with a team dispersed across the country to develop three tier-a projects simultaneously. Aligned business needs and requirements from multiple lines of business to ensure deliverables met diverse needs.Responsibilities:Developed the application strategy for the origination and fulfillment of home loans.Ensured the development and maintenance of applications met enterprise standards and procedures.Coordinated design with multiple vendors to ensure high cohesion among final deliverables.Communicated vision to senior leadership with clarity and conviction.

Major Accomplishment:Worked with an east coast pharmaceuticals company to design and build a pilot application aimed to propel Doctor/Patient encounters into the 21st century. The final deliverable leveraged FileNet content storage and workflow capabilities, allowing medical professionals at all levels to reduce administrative overhead, paperwork, and repetitive tasks.Responsibilities:Led technology teams in development and delivery of numerous small to medium sized projects.Led multiple successful dual shore development efforts. Designed and led numerous mission critical business applications in the Asia-Pac Theater.Designed nominee for the FileNet 2006 UserNet Innovation Award.

Major Accomplishment:Delivered world class training experiences to hundreds of students across four continents and fifteen countries.Responsibilities:Provided expertise and deep knowledge on key FileNet P8 components, including Content Engine, Process Engine and Application EngineClearly explained and demonstrated Java API set to customers of widely varying expertise and experience.Delivered high level analysis of available solutions for business problems.Drove technical solutions during sales engagements based on real world usage of FileNet products.Represented FileNet in the field by providing the highest level of professionalism and competency in all of my engagements.
