Aquatic Field Ecologist I seeking a promotion to Field Ecologist II at NEON with increased responsibilities in the areas of aquatic sensor maintenance and remote monitoring, protocol management, Temporary Field Technician training and management and domain level tasks. As a Field Ecologist I have successfully managed five AOS protocols, and AIS sensor maintenance and troubleshooting. Also responsible for training Temporary Field Technicians in both AOS and AIS protocols and electrical safety relating to aquatic sensor maintenance. Formally, as an Aquatic Lead Field Technician I managed a NRSS protocol and followed over 20 established, standardized protocols for sampling physical, chemical and biological data from wadeable streams and for maintaining in-situ aquatic sensors sets. Previously, as a Graduate Research Assistant I contributed to a LTER station’s open dataset by collecting and analyzing over 100 limnological samples. Core competencies include: leading and training Temporary Field Technicians, following established aquatic field sampling and lab protocols, Data QA/QC, Excel, R, ArcGIS Desktop, and Python.
