This involves working at a strategic leave developing and maintaining effective relationships with partners across the local authority, NHS and other local stakeholders. As part of the healthy communities team I am responsible for overseeing the delivery of a variety of portfolios, including ageing well, food, physical activity and community health development. Furthermore, I am responsible for the management of council owned changing facilities used by community sports clubs; this includes managing the finances for the site, including invoicing clubs when necessary and arranging relevant maintenance work. My role also included the delivery of NHS Health Checks for residents aged 40-74, which includes taking physical measurements such as blood cholesterol levels and blood glucose level, whilst also delivering the councils smoking cessation services. In addition, I was responsible for working with local grassroots clubs to assist the National Governing Bodies in providing support with increasing participation and making clubs more accessible to the local community. Another part of my role also included managing both the coach education and social media sections of the department, this included organising a number of first aid and safeguarding courses during the course of the year, as well as adopting a strategic approach to ensuring successful advertising of sporting opportunities taking place across York. Part of the West Riding County FA Youth Council, which is responsible for providing a communication pathway between grassroots football and the County FA.

Responsible for adopting a lead role on production of a Futsal Development Strategy. This involves working closely with key partners such as external clubs and private Futsal providers to identify current provision and use this as a basis to build upon. The strategy aims to utilise Futsal as a development tool for 11v11 football whilst also ensuring a clear Futsal development pathway is put into place across Manchester.

I was responsible for the management of the university's social sport programme, which involved completing all monitoring and evaluation processes for the 14 sports initiative and was critical in ensuring the project continued to receive Sport England funding through the Active Universities fund. This involved regular meetings with activators to determine the performance of their sessions and look at ways to increase participation uptake.

Part of the first year of a national project launched by The FA and BUCS to provide a student workforce to increase participation in higher education football. Throughout which, involved being responsible for the development of recreational football opportunities on offer to students at the university.
