This combined seven inconsistent processes to one and streamlined invoice to payment processing times.• Led the delivery of two revolutionary projects to retail and development customers by enabling a more options for self-service across the My Account and Developer Application portals that respected their time and made it easier to deal with Hunter Water when they wanted, reducing calls to the contact centre.• Definition of process improvement solutions across project governance that reduced project forecast uploading times by 80%, enabled more consistent and detailed project creation and costing data across operating and capital projects, and developed a solution that enabled TOTEX project reporting that resolved a substantial data gap in project reporting.

ANCO was a 5 year, $35M digital transformation project to install a dynamic train movement methodology across the Hunter Valley Rail Network in NSW. The project was enabled by the digitisation of train planning that automatically resolved train planning conflicts across the entire network every 2 mins.• Senior BA and Product Owner through the Agile design, backlog management, dynamic configuration and implementation of large COTS solution plus a further $4M in critical user applications through management of external vendors (Wabtec, Deloitte, Mudbath) aligned to the Agile framework, ensuring delivery within budget and timelines that supported staged releases dependent on immediate project needs.• Delivery of new system training to over 100 critical users across 16 separate training sessions in a classroom format, with feedback indicating it was the most effective training experienced by these users during their time at ARTC.• Management of test case development and execution within JIRA/Zephyr, driving SMEs and vendors to progress testing failures to resolution ready for deployment.• Designed and monitored project benefits as defined in the benefits realisation register as presented to project executives.• Improved customer and stakeholder acceptance post-implementation through the coordination of coal chain stakeholder workshops to understand issues being experienced through to design and implementation of enhancements with vendors.

• Accountable for the establishment of project governance controls and associated Agile processes and systems, including project schedules and task management approaches and risk and issue management.• Establishment of the Change Management Strategy and Plan that considered the more than 150 internal and 1000+ external persons that would be impacted by the changes.• Creation of the Benefits Realisation Plan, which incorporated the Benefits Register, detailing the timing and monitoring of project benefits as enablers were delivered.• Responsible for the development of regular project status reports and multiple steering committee papers that supported timely decision making and issue resolution to ensure project progress.

HVCCC takes an end-to-end Hunter Valley Coal Chain view and works independently of any individual interests to optimise the performance of the entire supply chain.• Accountable for the development and distribution of regular daily, weekly and monthly performance and operations reports to the Hunter Valley Coal Chain members (Producers and Service Providers).• Lead an amazing team of Data Analysts that enabled us to develop innovative ways to ‘go digging’ and present Coal Chain performance data that tell a valuable story.• Undertook a review of the HVCCC Data Warehouse and analytics approach, leading to commencement of a multi-stage project to reform the existing data warehouse and modernise our analysis tools to promote a self-service user experience.• Responded to member requests for ad-hoc data analysis services using a combination of SQL, Microsoft Excel and Power BI.

During this secondment, I delivered a best practice Project Management Office across the business, including a full suite of standardised resources for team members to develop and monitor their project from initiation to completion, including Change Management and Benefit Realisation modules.

As a part owner, I joined for a period to manage all project workflow operations while implementing standard business processes and develop the rapidly growing team of ecologists and support staff in effective project management prior to sale of the company to Kleinfelder Ltd.• Implemented a maturing approach to project governance across the project teams, focussing on budgetary controls that led to a 52% decrease in project cost overruns in the first 3 months. • Restructured the project teams to provide clear role accountabilities accompanied with modest salary increases to reinforce time, cost and quality expectations across the new governance structure.

• Manage and support the core integrated planning system (IPS) that supports planning and scheduling of the Hunter Valley coal chain, including system design, testing and deployment.• Project Manager for a major IPS development phase of a 5-year systems improvement project, supporting the project team to meet presentation and deployment deadlines in the detail required for the intended audience.• Led the definition and review of both functional and technical specifications for all IPS enhancements with both development partners, Fujitisu and TriplePoint Technology.• Presented regular enhancement updates to coal chain industry members to inform upcoming system and process changes.

BusinessCraft is a fully integrated management software solution designed for the needs of businesses in the residential building industry, meeting Australian specific software requirements around Financials, Job Costing, Estimating, Ordering, Contract Management and much more.• Principal Consultant across more than five large-scale implementations of BusinessCraft integrated software across some the residential construction industry’s largest builders, such as Metricon Homes, McDonald Jones Homes and Summit Group, requiring effective stakeholder management and project governance to deliver on time and within budget.• Streamlined system configurations and implementations through the creation of standard database templates based on the type and size of implementation, resulting in ~20% decrease in total implementation duration.• Developed structured training courses across the residential building customer base, resulting in a 73% increase in revenue from previously invoiced training days.
