I am currently a highly motivated and enthusiastic property student at the University of Auckland. I have completed my second year and I am expecting to complete my degree at the end of 2023. My aim is to head into the property industry, and pursue an agency role. My aim is to learn from the best and use that as a benchmark to hopefully leave my own mark and legacy in the property industry.I Achieved NCEA with an Excellence endorsement as well as a specific endorsement in business and economics. While I was there, I took on a variety of roles, from things like peer-to-peer mentorship to being a house captain. I am proud of my college and the connections it has given me; the brotherhood always looks out for one another and is constantly helping the wider community.I worked through the first lockdowns in an organic grocery store which taught me valuable skills in having to follow strict company guidelines in order to ensure the wellbeing of customers and staff. I then moved on to a role working in the snow and wake industry at Ballisitcs Wake and Snow, this job has provided me with many opportunities and introduced me to such a wide variety of people. I have learned essential sales and communication skills, along with ski technician and boot fitting skills. This job has also taught me the effectiveness of customer loyalty and what a brand means, it is very community driven and both staff and customers return to the store every day to check on how things are doing.I am very fortunate to have this job as they usually hire off recommendations only. This job also helps me to achieve a good work-life balance and explore various different styles of life. I am very creative and hands-on, I would consider myself to be a creative type with an interest in music and film/photography. I believe that this, along with my more unique job, gives me a great point of difference when it comes to the challenges I face within my property degree; this especially comes in handy with communication and making people feel comfortable and welcome, I find it very easy to manage group projects and enjoy speaking to groups of people.I find my wide range of interests allows me to find a common connection with customers or colleagues; this then ties in perfectly with communication and sales when building networks/relationships.
