I have almost 14 years of Commercial health insurance pricing experience, functioning in various roles over the years that include:• Leveraging machine learning to better predict future health costs• Driving methodology and rating decisions as the Rating Methodology Actuary for Commercial Business and as the Market Actuary for the Carolinas, Tennessee, and Arkansas• Working with executives, sales personnel, and underwriters to execute strategic initiatives and price our products to meet market goals• Managing and leading teams of actuaries in both market and shared services roles• Digging into data to drive effective decision makingI have found that I’ve been able to heavily leverage my curiosity, caring nature, and drive for results to achieve a high level of success in my career. When exposed to new models and systems, my curiosity drives me to figure out how all the pieces work together. This has led to me becoming the subject matter expert in many areas.
