A Registered Architect with hands-on experience in the construction industry and my own development projects. This background enriches the relationships with HMOA clients and our understanding of complex commercial projects.On joining Herriot Melhuish O’Neill Architect in 2016 as director, I established the Auckland studio and built up a team of architects and graduates. In 2022, Matt Robinson joined me as co-director, further contributing skills in large-scale commercial projects.Based in Parnell with a young family, I enjoy coaching children's sports teams, including rugby, and volunteering on the Junior Rugby club committee. I’ve also assisted the local school with building projects, working alongside like-minded parents.ExperienceThe construction industry has featured since school and university with experience as a gib hanger and stopper and in project management of interior finishing. On graduating from Auckland School of Architecture, I began my own development projects– designing and building modest houses in Manurewa where I grew up. More complex projects, including apartment blocks in Auckland's city fringe, followed as my skills and experience increased.
