    ● Scraped HTML data from several websites using the XLM package in R to collect annual performance and salary data for 3000 NHL players spanning 30 years and created a database to analyze the amount of value players add.● Used python to clean data and performed feature engineering using pandas in order to create variables to capture the relationship between performance and salary for a given player (i.e. goals/million dollars). ● Leveraged historical data to train a Naive Bayes and Random Forest classifier (best model) to classify players into value categories with 85% accuracy on validation data. ● Created a Shiny web app using R in order to enable users to identify undervalued players and visualize NHL player performance in reactive figures and tables.
