At Jacobs Matt manages and mentors over 140 Transportation Project Managers, Designers and technicians over the NW geography (Hawaii, Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana). Matt works collaboratively across the organization to plan work and identify resources, develops winning strategies for new transportation work, and leads the growth efforts of civil engineering professionals. Matt is responsible for meeting business and growth targets for the department across the northwest.

Greater Seattle Area

As a MoP, Matt drives the delivery and success for a large (75+) portfolio of projects, while directly supervising, mentoring and coaching the Project Managers. Matt leads oversight for internal project reviews, financial health assessments, contract authority, risk assessment and overall client satisfaction management. In addition, participating in sales activities such as Go/No Go’s, teaming strategies, middle/end game activities for strategic pursuits.

United States

Leading the General Tolling Consultant program supporting WSDOT Toll Divsion. Including program management, project management, contract development through execution, estimating, scheduling, financial analysis, reporting and tracking, forecasting, and invoicing. Matt and Jacobs have successfully recompeted this support and will sunset the current program in coming months. The new programs will focus on System, Roadside and CSC Operations to align with the Toll Division business units for the next 6 years.

Seattle, Wa

Led the Good To Go! Tolling Back Office System replacement projects responsible for the collection and processing of all toll transactions on behalf of the State of Washington Toll Division. Beginning in Feb 2016, this project included managing the requirement gathering, development of the Request for Proposals (RFP), Procurement and currently the software design, development and implementation of the new system. The team comprises of leading both consultant, vendor and state staff experts ranging across all technical and business functions within the system. The project stakeholder management extends well beyond the 20 core team members and requires communication with multiple vendors, various state departments, and oversight. With go-live achieved in early Summer of 2021 the back office system team has successfully provided WSDOT with a modern, configurable and scalable platform capable of accommodating facility expansion over the next decade.

Wsdot Toll Division

Administering the General Tolling Consultant program supporting WSDOT Toll Divsion. Including program management, project management, contract development through execution, estimating, scheduling, financial analysis, reporting and tracking, forecasting, and invoicing.

Bellevue, Wa

Licensed roadway lead designer for Jacobs. Primary focus on Design-Build contracts. As a MOT/roadway design lead, most recently completed a successful WSDOT design CRIP to the $176 million I-90 Widening Phase C through Hyak (partnership with Atkinson Construction). Additional design build experience as a civil designer include MinDOT TH169/I-494 Interchange Design-Build in Minneapolis, Minnesota (partnership with C.S McCrossan and Kraemer Construction) and the $110 million WSDOT Bellevue "Braids" Design-Build project reconfiguring I-405/SR520 Interchange and downtown corridor (partnership also with Atkinson Construction).
