I lead preconstruction efforts on JE Dunn healthcare projects across the United States. Our National Healthcare estimating department works both independently and collaboratively with other local JE Dunn offices to provide a full range of preconstruction services including conceptual budgets, opinions of cost, value analysis as well as traditional bidding and GMP activities.

I work directly with our clients, design partners, subcontractors and internal preconstruction department to develop conceptual project budgets, provide detailed pricing updates and perform in-depth value assessment on projects to ensure successful outcomes.

Manage preconstruction processes, including bid package development, subcontractor coverage, and procurement/buy-out activities for multiple Federal pursuits concurrently, ranging from <$1 million to $500 million and up. These pursuits include multiple Federal agencies, such as USACE, NAVFAC, GSA, VA, Architect of the Capitol and the Federal Reserve Board. Pursuit types vary from lump sum bids with 100% construction documents to pure design-build RFP's from Federal program with limited bridging documents.My role also includes responsibility for the development of change order proposal responses to Government-issued change RFP's for our current Federal contracts. Developing these change order proposals typically includes components of design management, design and construction scheduling, subcontractor proposal analysis, parametric estimating and technical proposal writing. The magnitude of these change order proposals ranges from less than $10 thousand to over $7 million.

- Project Engineer at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN on a $4 million build-out of 4 general operating rooms and ancillary support rooms. This project required complex overhead and in-wall MEP coordination, as well as a thorough logistics and infection control plan. The entire project was completed adjacent to existing active operating rooms and other hospital facilities.- Sole on-site Project Engineer for a $6 million tenant improvement project for two State of TN agencies at the UBS Tower in Downtown Nashville. Demolished, abated and renovated over 130,000 SF of high end office space throughout eight floors in the high rise building in seven months including offices, break rooms, restrooms, and some structural upgrades.- Sole on-site Project Engineer for a $4.5 million combination 12,000 SF exterior plaza and 10,000 SF interior main elevator lobby renovation at the UBS Tower in Downtown Nashville. Project includes a phased schedule to maintain tenant access and safety in the building, as well as stringent requirements for construction dust and air quality monitoring in order to minimize renovation impact on current tenants.
